About Us

We design, develop and manufacture a unique range of bicycle lighting accessories to promote safe and confident urban cycling and help the bicycle regain its dominant position in our towns and cities.

People

Bicygnals is the brainchild of top product designer Gavin Thomson who has produced designs for companies such as BA, Samsung, MontBlanc, Boots, BT and Ford but to name a few. Gavin runs his own design agency – Gavin Thomson Design – and is also a Design Associate for the Design Council, advising companies on how to best use 'design' across all aspects of their business

Our Aims

There are many initiatives, including the London Mayor’s bicycle scheme, to get people out of their cars and onto bicycles, not just to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce pollution but to improve the general health of the country. Although cycling facilities have definitely improved, it still remains a dangerous environment for cyclists and many people feel vulnerable and invisible to other road users. Our aim is to reduce accidents and provide innovation in cycle safety – our products are cutting edge in this respect, specially designed for urban cyclists to Be Safe and Be Seen.

I am really delighted with the quality and performance of these lights. They work brilliantly, both front and rear, during day and night. The front illumination is good enough for dark country lanes, the rear lights are as good or better than most you can buy. The real value is the wireless indicators tho. I was amazed how quickly you get used to these indicators and I have to say , I feel a lot safer riding with them and feel quite vulnerable without them ( that’s from a guy that often rides without a helmet just a bandana or bobbler!)
