Bicygnals to aid 'cool, confident cycling'

Bicygnals

The latest product offering hands-free turn signalling

It’s the latest solution to what many novice cyclists consider a problem - the ability to signal a turn while keeping both hands on the handlebars. Bicygnals is a pair of front and rear light clusters which incorporate directional indicators with the standard night-time white and red lights and reflectors.

A wireless connection ensures rear indicators follow their thumb-operated front counterparts and the battery-powered LED units can easily be removed and clipped together before being slotted into a carrying pouch for security. The rear unit swivels to protect it from damage if the bike is dropped or leant against a hard surface.

Products attempting to perform a similar function have been launched in the past but Bicygnals is one of the most promising we’ve seen – at least on paper. We’ll let you know our verdict once we get our hands on the real thing. Bicygnals go on sale at Halfords in June, priced £39.95.
